How it works
Therapy, but make it real life
You don’t have to show up with a perfectly organized explanation of what’s wrong. You just have to show up.
01
BEFORE WE EVEN MEET
First, we talk.
You’ll start with a consultation so we can talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re looking for and whether working together feels like a good fit.
From there, we’ll get your intake paperwork taken care of and schedule your first session.
Pretty simple
Some sessions have a very obvious focus. Others don't.
Maybe we're unpacking a relationship pattern. Maybe you're stuck on a decision. Maybe you know exactly what you should do but can't seem to actually do it.
We'll talk. I'll ask questions. I'll notice patterns. I'll give you things to think about. Sometimes I'll challenge you. Sometimes we’ll laugh.
And sometimes we'll spend 50 minutes talking about something you thought was completely unrelated and realize it was actually the thing.
That’s therapy.
So, what actually happens in therapy?
02
ONCE WE GET GOING
03
ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW
You don’t have to show up polished and perfect.
I might have a fidget in my hand during our session.
I might adjust how I'm sitting. I might get up to grab something.
I'm a real person too.
And I don't expect you to show up perfectly put together with the right words and a beautifully organized explanation of what's going on.
This time is for you.
You can ramble. Lose your train of thought. Change your mind halfway through. Realize that what you thought was the problem... isn't actually the problem.

HOW I WORK
I like to get curious
We'll look at thoughts, emotions and behaviors, but also the patterns underneath them. What you avoid. What you overthink. The expectations you've put on yourself. The ways you've learned to cope, protect yourself or stay in control.
Sometimes that means challenging an all-or-nothing thought. Sometimes it's understanding an attachment pattern showing up in a relationship, or getting some psychoeducation about why your brain or nervous system keeps doing what it's doing.
We'll work on things like values, boundaries, communication, emotional regulation and actually responding differently when it matters.
My work is informed by CBT, ACT and attachment-based approaches, but I don't believe therapy should feel like a textbook.
I'll ask questions. I'll challenge things. I'll point out what I notice.
And hopefully, every once in a while:
“Ohhh. THAT'S what I've been doing.”
That's the kind of work I love.
